Still Life schetst het portret van een familie op het afgelegen Ierse platteland. Hun dagen worden geregeerd door eenvoud, wachten, traagheid en herhaling. Het is een plek waar geen toekomstbeeld bestaat anders dan de eeuwige herhaling van het heden. Het is een plek om te overleven, sterk te zijn, alleen te zijn met de wind, de ogen gebrand door het licht. Een plek van onuitgesproken tederheid. This is a place for survival, to be strong, alone with the wind, eyes burnt by the light. A place of unspoken tenderness, a landscape of silence and solitude in which there will always be someone.
