Post-conference Excursion 1: City of Ghent: trailing along the public green, climate axes and temporary public spaces
Ghent trailing along the green, climate axes and temporary public spaces
By bike we will make a transect of the city of Ghent, focussing on both new and more historical public spaces, permanent and temporary public spaces. On the list are among others the new “green” in the city centre, a temporary allotment garden, a climate green axe and one of the four large green recreational areas of the city. We will also halt at a few temporary public installations with its typical LEGO-blocks and are part of the new mobility plan that has extended the restricted (car) traffic area of the city of Ghent.
Guidance: Pieter Foré and Ruben Joye
