Je onbehaaglijk voelen is het begin om iets origineels te maken. Het project bestaat uit drie verschillende videos: 'Unarmed', 'Nagger', 'The Whitest Boy In Town'. Voor mij gaat het om ongelijkheid. Maar rasgerelateerde zaken bevinden zich steeds in een grijze zone. Ik kan niet zeggen wat jouw ervaringen met ras zijn en jij weet niet wat de mijne zijn. Ik kan niet spreken voor zwart Amerika, noch voor mensen in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Daarom is het goed om gesprekken aan te gaan. Ik wil dat mensen erover spreken, zij het op een positieve of negatieve manier.

Feeling awkward is the start of making something original. This project consists of three separate videos: ‘Unarmed’, ‘Nagger’, and ‘The Whitest Boy In Town’. The title ‘The Whitest Boy In Town’ is just a space to spark thought, a bit of situationism. To me this is about inequality. But issues of race are always a grey area. I can’t tell you what your experiences of race are, and you can’t tell me what mine are. I can’t talk for black America, or for people in the UK. So it’s good to start these conversations. I want people to talk about it, positively or negatively, so that it’s out there.
