SEIREN werd opgericht in 2009 door producer en keyboardist Jens Paeyeneers. Doorheen de jaren heeft het project enkele drastische stijlbreuken en periodes van inactiviteit meegemaakt, tot het in 2014 vervoegd werd door zangeres Charlotte Jacobs en drummer Gert Malfliet. SEIREN omvat songs in het Nederlands en in het Engels, filmische soundscapes, hyperactieve sequencers, melancholische jazz ballads en een eclectische mix van alle voorgaande elementen. Live brengt de liefde van de muzikanten voor chaos de muziek tot een hoger niveau. Denk: Bambi op LSD met lasers.

Jens Paeyeneers is geboren in 1991 en noemt zichzelf muzikant sinds 1998. Hij is actief als producer, songwriter, livemixer en keyboardist. Als muzikant heeft hij ervaring bij Natives, Barefoot And The Shoes, Billie Leyers, Yong Yello... en sinds kort ook bij SEIREN, dat na jarenlang enkel als 'bedroom producer zijproject' op een donkere uithoek van het internet te vinden viel, nu ook live in bandformatie naar buiten komt.
